I just discovered why my iPod video would sometimes go bananas where the volume would fluctuate wildly and deafen me in the process. It’s the mobile phone .. when it’s talking to the cell, the iPod goes mad.
The solution is to keep the two apart it seems. I should have google’d - I’m sure someone would have known the answer!
Well, I never thought this would happen but after three years of battling with WEA and hating it and a troubled start with Traveler for the last 6 months, finally WM5 and Traveler has overtaken the venerable and cool 8700g BlackBerry as “trusted mail device”. This is because the BB has stopped syncing the calendar properly (missed appointments - not sure why) and Traveler now sync’s perfectly and immediately.
So I now carry the BB for trusted push mail, Traveler for trusted sync’d calendar (can’t say “push”), an iPAQ 4700 for videos, iPod video for music and a Qtek 9090 for personal mobile calls.
Go on, say it .. “are you mad?”.
This made me laugh .. a decent error message (instead of the useless 404):
Lets see how long I can manage without it .. last record attempt was 13 hours without the BB and that was hard!
Although only blogging for a few weeks now, and not very much at that, I thought I’d compare myself to a few colleagues and check my blog’s net worth .. to see if I can retire to the BVI. Erm..

I can’t afford £130 so .. going to try the Cachya head tracking system this weekend .. the hat switches on the yoke and joysticks are a bit ’stuttery’.
