Detailed
Summary:
Kemal is an IT professional with a broad background in civil aircraft
design, product development and marketing as well as knowledge management IT
systems. He started
out as a designer in the Future Projects department of a world class aerospace
manufacturer (British Aerospace Commercial Aircraft), becoming instrumental in
the introduction of new CAE (computer-aided design) systems to improve design
efficiency and
effectivity. These
included knowledge-based engineering systems and concurrent engineering
methodologies. After successful project management activities, including
liaison with foreign partner companies, Kemal moved into Marketing where he
became a technical specialist in the design and performance of aircraft. He was
successful in supporting numerous sales and marketing campaigns, traveling and
presenting technical material to airline management of all levels. His most
successful campaign exceeded US$150 million (Turkish Airlines RJ70 &
RJ100).
Following
British Aerospace Regional Aircraft in it’s move to southern France, Kemal joined AI(R), a pan-European aero-space consortium developing new regional jet
aircraft. Again, in the Product Development environment, he was put in charge
of the management of partner CAE systems and their integration. With a French
partner, he was tasked with also introducing Concurrent Engineering disciplines
and methods to the twenty year, billion-dollar plus program partners and
contractors. During this time, he developed efficiency drives in departmental
processes, developed business process re-engineering strategy and developed the
CAD to PDM integration using Computervision Optegra and CADDS 5.
With
the termination of the project, Kemal returned to the UK to IBM, joining Engineering Solutions as a Product Lifecycle Management application specialist to
support British Aerospace Military Aircraft in their introduction of CATIA CAD
and IBM ProductManager PDM (Product Data Management) systems. Recently, Kemal
has moved into knowledge management and collaborative computing application
design, development, project management and consultancy in the areas of IBM
Lotus, DB2, WebSphere and web application design. Customers include IBM
strategic outsourcing clients such as BP and Cable & Wireless and
engineering clients such as Mayflower, Alenia Aerospazio, Benetton Formula 1,
BAE Systems. Other clients include UK Police forces, energy utilities,
transportation companies, telcos such as BT and numerous UK local authorities. Internally he supported IBM Global Services.
Currently
Kemal is supporting the sales teams to close software deals for Lotus
collaboration, middleware and mobility software technologies. Campaigns include
local and central government, armed forces, educational institutions, retail,
telco, financial services and SME/SMB (small medium enterprise and business)
clients.
